A boar bristle brush is the main tool to use for your sleek look. Also, it is a great brush to use to tease your hair in certain areas of your hair. Most popular is the crown of course! Next, grab a hair tie, bobby pins, hair pins, your favorite pomade or cream, and hairspray. 

The style is quite simple, pictures are deceiving, but it’s a fun bun to try! Pull your hair back by using a little product (pomade or cream) to distribute throughout the hair. Use generously! Sleek the hair into your desired height of the ponytail. Once you have secured it into place. Apply a gentle amount of hairspray to smooth out some fly-aways. Next, is the fun part! You can twist or wind strands of hair and pin into place near the center of the pointy tail. Once you create random knots on the crown of the head, you can begin pulling the knots to create a softer bun. The more you pull the knots, the more expansion of the bun will look. You can also use the open pins to hide any gaps or tame a loose twist. Last but not least, apply your hairspray to hold your bun together and you are ready for your party!
