A simple yet classic style to maintain your perfect shape. If you’re interested in a new haircut to enhance features or improve the health of your hair, this is the right haircut for you! Before I dive in the fun facts about a bob haircut, ask the most important questions to yourself:
These are standards questions I like to ask my clients before cutting a chin length or shoulder length bob. My recommendation is to save a couple of pictures of what you like in a bob haircut. That way you can explain what you’re interested in. Also, be sure you’re in the right state of mind and not by impulse! I wouldn’t recommend it to most depending on the client and consultation. I love a beautiful clean cut of a bob but, always make sure you’re cutting the right amount of length!
What is a Bob Haircut?
Bob haircuts have been around since the mid 1920’s. Since then it has evolved throughout generations! Styles like: Graduated bobs that has heavy stacking the back of the occipital, layered bobs with more movement to remove weight and very creative A-line or asymmetrical shapes. My favorite and most recognized feature in bob haircuts other than a clean line to enhance jawline structure is Fringe/Bangs! Bangs added to bob cuts are fun and eye-drawing part of the haircut. Wether it’s short, long, blunt, soft, round, square, asymmetrical or symmetrical fringe. It can draw attention towards the eyes and cheekbones to soften or disguise some facial features!
The short haircut has its benefits when you don’t have to worry about length touching your shoulders or back. Having short hair to wear at chin length means more density and prominent shape. Sacrificing length isn’t so bad for those who have fine hair. Not only can it be effortless, it can help cut down styling time. Bob haircuts can also feel a lot thicker and supports shape and style accordingly. Products can also help define structure, build volume or add texture.
